How to download data

Start with the Search Bar

Open the Public Data Portal, and enter a search term in the search bar:

Select a Button

Alternatively, select from the pre-built searches by clicking on an image:

Example: The GIS datasets all have the tag “GIS”, and will appear when the map image is clicked.

Results Page

Either way, a search takes you to the search results page:

Select a Service

Click on the name of the data service of interest (e.g City of Santa Clara Address Full List):

Details Page

In the feature details page, click on the Download Data button and select the format of interest:

My Data

The file will download to your download folder. Check the “My Data” button in the upper right to confirm that the download is proceeding or that it has been downloaded:

Use a Service URL

If you need to get a service URL, click on the API button URL:
